For me most games work out of the box with steam + proton, just a handful don't, lotro among them. So I'm running lotro with wine with playonlinux as a front-end. Works like a charm out of the box, no problems. But Linux+proton+lotro just doesn't, no matter how much tweaking I have put in.LotRO also isn't the only game that gives you entertaining vignettes for completing longer chains either. You also don't level too fast at all. It feels that way only from 1-20/30ish because it's the only part of the game that ended up having its leveling curve squashed a little while also having the most amount of post-launch content added to it.
